HP laptop keyboard no longer works. USB keyboard work until after password entered and boot into Win 7

I have an HP laptop. The keyboard is damaged and thus no longer function. Used an external USB Microsoft keyboard but it only works until after the password is entered and boot into Win 7 Premium. The keyboard succesfully installed and no issues in device manager.

Assuming you can get in to Windows and that USB mouse or touchpad works okay after logon, try disabling the "Filter Keys":

Control Panel (icon view) >> Ease of Access Centre

Click "Make the keyboard easier to use"

Untick "Turn on filter keys"

Click 'OK'

keyboard does not work at all. I am using now another keyboard via USB but Win 7 does not recognize my password.
