Hello,

I'm looking to fix up a mid range gaming desktop
Wondering if it's feasible with the parts.

Motherboard : Asus Maximus VI Hero i5-4670k, 3.4ghz (changed from i7-4770k)
Ram : Corsair Vengeance 1600M CL9 Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB)
CPU Cooler : Corsair H80 High-Performance Hydro Cooler (changed from H60)
PSU : Corsair RM Series 750W Modular Gold (Owned)
Graphic Card : Sapphire R9 270 2GB Dual-x OC BF4 Edition (Owned)
HDD : Toshiba 7200rpm 3TB (Owned)
Case : Corsair Obsidian Series 550D Mid Tower Case

Any advice?

Thanks alot

The ASRock Z87 Extreme4 is just a more budget version of the Z87 motherboards with many features. I'm guessing it was recommended to save you some money. The Asus Maximu VI Hero is the better motherboard though at a higher cost.

I agree you cpu is way too much for gaming. I would drop it to an i5 and use the money for a better gpu. The gpu you have chosen is very weak, compared to the rest of your specs. It will give you poor gaming performance.

edit: if you already have it, get a second one and run CF

@FlyingHelmet, @ jcaulley_74 - thanks for the advice. I'll down it to 4760k. And get H80 with the spare cash.
Will take up the idea of getting the SSD too

@oczdude8 - Thanks, any recommendations on the second graphic card?
