Is there much difference in visual quality between 1600x900 and 1920 x 1080 resolutions?

I am trying to decide between two laptops. Each has their pros and cons.

Is the difference in screen resolution between the two models something that I should consider? Will 1920 x 1080 make a significant difference in image quality over 1600 x 900?

Well, by "significant" i mean is there a significant, noticeable, substantial, pronounced etc. difference in image quality between the two resolutions?

Hmm..Ok, the general consensus seems to be that 1600 x 900 displays are rather poor quality :(
