ASUS P6TD DDR3-1600 Memory Recommendations

I am upgrading my PC, I have a core i7 920 with an ASUS P6TD motherboard, I want to get 12GB (3 X 4GB) of DDR3 1600 memory. I have been reading where a lot of memory will not clock 1600 even with tweaking the bios. Is there a current set or single stick of memory that is known to have good compatibility with my board?

Enable Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) in the BIOS to get the 1600MHz speed.

There is no issue. Get 1600mhz ram. Enable XMP in bios and you are good to go. Make sure your mobo has support for 1600mhz otherwise you ll have to manually do the speed
