I have my brand new AMD A10 6800K cpu and mobo on the desk beside me in its packaging, reading the leaflet it says thermal compound. On the cpu packaging it says thermal compound included. There is no thermal compound in the box so I assume it is pre-applied. However looking at the heatsink where it sits on the cpu lots of small squares, is the compound which will melt into place when powered up?
Sorry to sound like a numpty but I just want to be sure that I don't need to apply any more paste to the stock cooler.
