I would like to know what would be a really great card to run most games on ultra in 1920x1080p on a single monitor that wont break the bank in the end. Overall looking to spend 700 tops for middle of the road rig. Any suggestions?

I had looked at the 660 as well as the 760 because for 50 more bucks I get more power but I wasn't really sure what I could get from the AMD spectrum at a decent price as well

Where abouts are you based, because many AMD prices are inflated due to the cryptocurrency mania. Check out the comparison that Anandtech did Here this should give you an idea of relative performance as well as a price comparison at the bottom of the linked page. It looks like the AMD 265 is slower but cheaper ($40) and the AMD 270 is more expensive ($60) but faster.
