Hey, I'm building a new PC soon and I dunno if I want a 144hz TN Panel Monitor or a 60hz IPS panel monitor, I will be playing FPS's like Battlefield,Call of Duty,Far Cry,Titanfall etc and maybe games like GTA and Saints Row and such, so should I go with TN or IPS Panel Monitors? Thanks!

Pretty tough decision at the end of the day. I personally run a 60Hz IPS and absolutely love the crispness of the picture. I too play all of those FPS's you listed and enjoy them on my IPS. I personally feel that going with a 144hz TN panel is for those looking for that extra edge when it comes to competitive FPS play.

If you are a casual FPS player: 60Hz IPS
If you are an expert/competitive FPS player: 144Hz TN

At least that's the way I see it.

Thanks! By any chance would you know what monitor you have? I've been searching for days on end for great monitors for the price, and I was also asking myself, can I even get 60FPS for games like I've mentioned with these specs that I am basing my future build on?
Intel Core i5 4670k @3.4GHz (Using Stocked Cooler)
750W Corsair PSU
EVGA Geforce GTX 770
Asus Z87-Pro Motherboard
8GB Corsair Vengeance Ram (1666MHz)
1TB HDD Seagate Barracuda
120GB SSD (For Windows 7)
Would you think I could get 60FPS for the games I've previously mentioned with these specs I'm basing on my future build? Because if not then I may need to get better specs or whatever :p
Thanks!

You should be able to reach 60 FPS with those games mentioned with little effort. You may have to tweak a few texture/graphics settings, but in the end you should come out with a great picture and very playable frame rates using the GTX 770.

I personally use an AOC i2757fh monitor. It was one of the cheaper 27" IPS monitors I could find with a decent Gray-to-Gray rating and relatively low/moderate input lag. It was on the cheap side at Best Buy for around $230 (I believe they mismarked the price on their website thinking it was the 23inch one). It has been a great IPS so far, but it does lack certain features like an adjustable base and tilting screen. You may take a look at Asus for you IPS needs. They make some quality stuff.

Here is a link to what I use:

Thanks! I've also heard great things about BenQ for Gaming Monitors too, can you get UNDER 5ms response times on IPS panels or are the majority of them 5ms and higher?

The vast majority are going to be at 5ms or higher. 5ms is still very playable. Expect to pay a great deal more for an IPS that has near 1ms response times. Anything between 5ms and 1ms is quite good. I would not go below 5ms when doing your shopping.

BenQ monitors are fantastic. Truth be told, I will likely upgrade to either a BenQ or Asus once I find it financially feasible. From a budget perspective, I found the AOC to be in a bit of a sweet spot. If you are able to spend around $400 or more, than I would most definitely look at some of the 27" BenQs that are out there. If screen size is not much of a concern, you could go with one of their more reasonable 24" XL models for a little less coin. One of the things I find most appealing about the BenQ monitors are the myriad of adjustments you can do to them to suite your needs.

Yeah most definitely :p
And finally I must ask, what do you think is best, DVI,VGA or HDMI? Thanks! :D
