I have a home network with a Win 7 desktop connected to a Linksys E3000 router by ethernet and a Win 7 laptop connected by WIFI. An HP printer is wired to the desktop PC, which is shared with the laptop through the desktop. There is a Buffalo hard drive connected to the router via USB. We have two IPhones, one IPad and one Win8 RT tablet that connect to the router through WIFI for internet connection. No real issues, except occasional connection failures to the external hard drive that I think is Norton firewall related. I want to connect a WIFI multifunction printer so we can print from the IPad and the RT Tablet. I would also like to use the new printer with the laptop and desktop. Do I have to have a new printer with WIFI and ehternet connection, or can I go with WIFI connection only....would one be better than the other?
