Hi!.

I'm a bit desperate, t'day I tried to start the PC, the motherboard (ASUS Crosshair Formula IV) didn't boot, the CPU Q_LED is stuck. I tried everything, but couldn't make it work. The biggest issue is that I have a RAID0 configured by hardware.
Is there ANY posibility to recover the RAID0 data?, I would do anything, if I buy the same motherboard it will work?. And if I buy one with the same chipset (SB850)?. And If I buy a newer one with a newer chipset?.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!.

try another power supply if the eight pin power plug does not give the voltage needed to the mb it wont post and the cpu led light will come on. if it is a mb failure use the mb warranty and do an rma...it may take a few days to get the replacment mb but you wont lose the data on the hard drive if you make sure the new mb has the same bios rev. if not use the usb flashback port to put the newest bios file on it then go in to the bios and reset the mb to do raid.

Unfortunatly where I live is impossible to send the mb to rma, theres no ASUS official support in mu country. When you talk about replacement, you are saying that in case I could send the mb to rma they would most probably give me a new one, so if I buy the same mb theoricaly it should work ok right?. I would most defenitly try the mb with a different psu. Thaks for youre help!

Argentina.

Some computer stores are allowed to provide ASUS support, but they are not 'Official' support as you call it on USA.
Unfortunately my motherboard was not purchased on one of those stores, and it is quite old (3 or more years), so is practically impossible to get any help from ASUS over here.

I'm not discarding to purchase the same mb, in fact I spotted a used one recently so when I confirm that the RAID0 is recoverable only on the same MB I will proceed to buy it.
