Wow, I was certain that was going to fix it. I'm guessing it plugs in via usb? Does your computer recognize it when pluged in? Do you see it in device manager? Any exlamations on it in devise manager?

I have enabled this and set it as you said, I then re-installed the windows 8 drivers it came with on the disc but the touchscreen doesn't work still... any ideas? I haven't changed any other settings.

Thank's so much, I was going to message you after to let you know I didn't know I needed to plug the USB in, shows what not reading the instructions xD

That combined with your first suggestion means my touch-screen now works, thanks SO MUCH!!!
