I cannot port forward my MI424WR Verizon router! Please help!?

Whenever i add a port and try to open it, well, it does say it is active, but when I go to canyouseeme.org, it says connection refused :/ I have a static IP, and I have been having this problem for a long time now! I am upgraded to the newest firmware. I've used programs which are supposed to open ports for you! And I haven't seen a single port open yet checking with canyouseeme.org, Please help! I'm sure the port forward is setup correctly.

No not the firmware version but the hardware version. look on the back of the router. Should say like Hardware Version I or H or something like that.

Just because you open the port on the Router doesn't mean anything if your PC's Antivirus or Firewall isn't allowing it. If you are just using windows Firewall go to the Advanced Firewall Settings and then go to the Incoming Tab and then open up the port that you opened up on the router on the PC as well.

Didn't help, it still doesn't work, btw I already have my firewall off!

PS: I am trying to open port 25565

Ok also one thing you have to learn (Which i learned the hard way with these verizon routers) is that when you setup the port foward make sure the Outside port is set to ANY and then the inside port is set to the 25565 and to the IP of your choosing. I setup a FTP server so i can access my stuff from remote and i was setting both incoming and outgoing ports to 21 like you would do on any NORMAL router but not with the verizon routers.

Whenever i try to do add that port, it doesnt work because when i set the outcoming port to any, it conflicts with the other ports like Teredo Skype uTorrent and whatnot, it wont let me add the port.

Thats odd?? Which version of the router do you have? Should be a letter. The latest is I which is just what we got upgraded to because out last one took a dump. The port fowarding is a little different on them but either way the Source Port should be ANY. Then the Desitination/Foward port is the port you are opening.

I have the newest version for sure, I checked for version updates, but it said my router is up to date.
