Hello,

I revently bought a computer and I have been having some trouble with my graphics card. Sometimes it will crash randomly. The crash doesnt seem to be tied to any program but just happens. My monitor goes black and says no connection. Then, I cant hold the power button to turn of the tower, I have to physically unplug the power and plug it back in. When I try to boot back up, sometimes the display will come up then crash, or not come up at all. This seems to happen most when I shut it down for the night and then turn it back on in the morning. Then, its the same procedure. Unplug, plug back in, boot up.

I have trolled the interwebs for solutions and seen anything ranging from bad mobo, bad graphics card, and mostly bad power supply. I do admit I have a shitty power supply, so I am leaning towards that being the problem.

Oh, and I cheated and took the easy way out. Instead of building my PC. I bought one form ibuypower. Im paying for that now. I want to avoid sending the whole tower back. So I want to just send a certain part if I have to. Any help in narrowing down the problem is much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Solution
i say do a memtest one stick at the time and i would try another psu since you have to unplug and plug it back to have the system work .

this for memory the usb auto installer version 5.01 at the bottom of the page http://www.memtest.org/ for the psu your gpu ask for 450 itself to support it could be that your is not powerfull enough having only 18 amp on the 12 volt line .
