CPU overheating or GPU failure

Every time a play a game (rust is the only game I have been playing) after a while the screen turns black and it stays that way and then I have to turn of my PC. I want to know if this is my CPU overheating or my gpu failing.

Hi,

Download coretemp (majorgeek) and msi afterburner to monitor your temperatures .
Do you overclock ?
What you configuration ?
What games you play?
Do this happen in every games ?

If you have a modern GPU , you PSU might be too weak and could also be the issue.

My psu is 950w and I have msi afterburner and there is no temps on it
