you may see me ask this a lot this year because i like seeing other peoples perspective on my build im going to do at the end of the year. And to me the best idea is to see what other people think and learn. (Note in regards to CPU coolers, I'm not going to use afterstock when stock coolers deliver the same thing only im not paying 30 extra bucks for it)

The build:

CPU: Intel I5 4670k $234.99 @ amazon
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-HD3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard $129.49 @ newegg
Memory: G.Skill Sniper 8GB (2X4gb) 82.99 @newegg
Storage 1: Crucial V4 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk 142.95 @ Amazon
Storage 2: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive 109.99 @ Amazon
GPU: MSI GefForce Gtx 770 (2GB) 329.99 @ Newegg
Case: Fractal design Define R4 99.99 @ Newegg
PSU: Seasonic 450W Semi modular power supply gold certified 74.99 @amazon
Optical drive: LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer $15 @ Microcenter
Win7 home premium 64 bit 92.99
Monitor Acer S242HLBwid 60Hz 24.0" Monitor 139.99 @Newegg
Headphones: Corsair raptor HS30 49.99 @ Amazon

Total: 1504 (Including P&S)
With rebates: 1484.34

If anyone has a better build for the same cost with Win 7 and the same monitor then i would be thankful. ALso i hold no brand alligance so AMD can be on this list too.

Well you are going to need a bigger PSU, I would get a 650w at the very least 550w. And about your comment about the CPU cooler... Sure the stock one will be fine... but you have an overclockable CPU... so if you plan to OC at all you will need the after market CPU cooler... And if you don't plan to OC... then don't get the K version of the i5. Other than that looks like a good build.
