First time building a computer and I think I'm doing ok. My problem is the front part of my PC case has a few ports (Azza 9000) under the lid where you would plug your mobo cables into. The esata female connection is riped off. And exposed. There are some other ports located on the same PCB (2x3.0, 2x2.0, headset and mic) can I ignore the esata port all together and not worry about using It or maybe will it short circuit? I have pictures not sure how to post them tho... I'm on a phone at work

Look to see if the cables themselves are broken. If they are remove their connection from the motherboard. If you cannot do so, tape the wires separately and test the rig. If the other ports function normally you're good to go.

Best of luck.
