Hi, I'm putting together a new gaming rig within the next month and having trouble deciding between:

MSI GTX 760 Gaming Edition OC 2GB @ 290 USD
MSI GTX 760 Gaming Edition OC 4GB @ 337 USD
MSI GTX 770 2GB Gaming Edition @ 396 USD
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 OC 2GB @ 309 USD
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 OC 2GB @ 387 USD

Note
- Prices are the cheapest of its kind from various local vendors in Bangkok converted roughly to USD for your convenience.
- Wants it to be cool and somewhat quiet. So brands are fixed. Also other brands are either not available or more expensive.

Criteria
- Wide variety of Hardcore-ish 1080p gaming (Doesn't need maxed out settings, though preferable)
*- Not Planning on upgrading for at least a few years. (Hopefully it would run Star Wars Battlefront 3 well. If not it can be upgraded later.) - possibly making paperwork
- No SLI
- Probably no GPU Overclocking
- Probably minor, efficient CPU Overclocking with inexpensive aftermarket air cooling
- Aiming for a somewhat quiet PC.
- Power consumption is of little concern.

Other planned specs
Intel i5-4670K CPU
Inexpensive mainboard
Adequate PSU
8-16 GB RAM
SSD + HDD

Note: The Card will be second-handed to me when either my Gigabyte GTX 670 gives out or my brother upgrade his GPU. When it happens, I WILL get one more card for SLI.

To clarify, the point is that I need feedback on the cards' comparison AT A HIGHER, DIFFERENT PRICES than the rest of the world.

I can't make a decision for you but i'll offer some advice.

NORMALLY I'd say that a 2gb card is fine for 1080p but you want to go SLI so the 2gb cards are kind of trash as they get limited by your 2GB VRAM so the 4GB 760 is the best option here.

Other pointers, by inexpensive mainboard make sure it's ATLEAST z87 chipset(you can't OC on any cheaper ones)

If you don't plan on overclocking much i'd say look a cheaper board like B85 or H87(H87 if you want to run HDD's in raid) and a Xeon 1230 V3 processor if the Xeon 1230 v3 is available it'd be a great choice as it's effectively as good a processor as an i7 4770 and runs fine on the stock cooler.

The price in america for a the xeon 1230 v3 is only $10 more than 4670K but you'll have to check what it is out in thailand. I highly suggest the xeon 1230 v3 if you don't want to overclock as it is a better CPU than the 4670K.

Thank you for your answer AshyCFC. It seems that the 4GB GTX760 would be the one to go with for the moment.

As for 'minor, efficient CPU Overclocking', I would have to clarify that it means pushing the CPU to its limit without tinkering with the voltage.
With that said and your advice combined. I may go with an economic z87 board without SLI capability.
Well, that and the fact that xeon 1230 v3 aren't even on most vendors' pricelists. So I'd assume that it won't be readily available for now.

it's a shame that the xeon 1230 v3 isn't available over in thailand, as a CPU it's a very good alternative to the i5 4670k.

If you're not going SLI, a 770 2GB is superior to the 760 4GB and is worth the price difference.

I wonder; Would xeon 1230 v3 be superior performance-wise against an overclocked 4670k?

If so, then I may actually try to finds a way to get my hands on xeon.

Yes.

The Xeon has the Hyperthreading power of the I7 4770 and over in the west isn't much more than the i5 i'm talking $10 or £10.

It's effectively an I7 4770 without the integrated graphics(who the hell needs that when gaming)

Have a look about, may find one.

Thank you for your help AshyCFC. I will be taking your advice.

With that said, I still by all means welcome any other suggestions.
