Hello all, I am in the market for a good 22-24" PC display for gaming in 1080p. Should I buy a monitor or would an extra HDTV i have lying around suffice? pros/cons anyone? thanks in advance for your help!!

The HDTV will look almost as good as the monitor... depending on the quality of the display. The HDTV flat panel is the same basic panel as is used on most mid-range monitors. I am using a 32" Samsung HDTV for my main display and have a 27" AOC and an Asus 24" monitors for my other PCs. The difference is indistinguishable to me... other than screen size. The larger the screen, the less distinct the image at any given resolution. I would suggest just hooking it up and seeing for yourself.
