I recently repalced a 360GB drive with a 500GB drive in my dell laptop running WIn7. After restoring froma system image, I have 167GB of unallocated space that I can't recalim. I've tried extending existing drives/partiitons but all are greyed out. I've tried to make a simple volume and get an error that I already have the max partitions allowed. What is on the drive now is 100 gb untitled, 9.77 gb Recovery, 58.59 GB OS (C:), 220.63 GB D: and 167.67 GB unallocated

Solution
Yes, use the free version of the software. It looks like it might actually allow you to move the D: drive to the right of the unallocated space, and then you could extend the C: drive into that unallocated space. To do this in the EaseUS software, right-click your D: partition, select "Resize/Move partition," and see if you can drag the partition all the way to the right.

If it doesn't display any space for you to drag the D: partition to, you could also shrink the size of the D: partition, move the shrunken D: partition to the right of the newly created unallocated space, and extend the C: partition into that new unallocated space.

Here is a very basic video showing how to resize a partition in the software...

You can try using a third-party partitioning tool like EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition to extend the D: drive (I'm assuming that's the one right next to the unallocated space) into the unallocated space. If that doesn't work, you can try converting the D: drive to a logical partition within the software and then extending it.

Thank you! I'll try your suggestions using the software you mention (the free version I presume?) Is there a way to expand the C: drive? That is the drive I get the windows error messages for - "low disk space"
