Massive Problems Everywhere

Okay so, I've had my system now for around 6 months, and for the most part, it's been working fine! But for the last 3 months or so, I have been experiencing problems that have been getting more prominent.

Problems:

-streaming videos full screen sometimes glitches. With the (static) video only appearing in the top left hand corner of the screen at a reduced size, and the rest of the screen remaining white.

-on startup the screen sometimes remains blank, requiring a forced reset to fix and get signal through to my monitor.

-'open GL Drivers' error reports during gaming, on waking the system from 'sleep' mode and recently after turning on the system. Sometimes after these crashes, the mouse/keyboard will not respond and require replugging in to get it to work again.

-monitor will blank out (like the open GL driver crashes) but sounds (and I presume everything else) still work. This rarely happens, but mainly whilst gaming.

All of these problems are temperamental, and I can go for days without anything going wrong at all!

I initially thought it was my GPU, after having tested myself (with Furmark) and having it fail miserably, I sent it off for testing for it only to come straight back to me.
I have tested the RAM using Memtest86 and everything is fine there too!

My guess is that it is (unfortunately) the CPU which is causing all the trouble, but I need more advise!

System Setup:
Nvidia GTX760
i7 2770
16GB Corsair Vengeance
Z87 Pro Motherboard

Solution
Okay so far we are seeing good temps, no RAM errors, and HDTune saying all fine. We have different issues occuring, so there is a few ways this can be the problems. I would say drivers but your having issues under directories accessing files, so that doesn't appear the same issue, that leaves either the OS is bad, the HDD it is on is bad (which HD Tune is saying otherwise, but that is a 50% answer) OR the POWER to all this is bad.

Next level of solutions. Get ext Drive. Run Windows Easy Transfer to back up the data. Get your DVDs out. Download and create a DBAN CD, wipe the drive (not the ext drive!!! LOL!). IF DBan takes 'days' or more then a couple hours to wipe, then the HDD is failing OR the PSU powering it is failing.

Install...
Some of the 'Basics'

Did you install all Windows Updates? Including options except BING? Check them and repeat till ALL are installed.
Download and run Slim Drivers, install all the latest updates but you don't need to reboot until you do the last update
Remove whatever AV your using and go to www.filehippo.com and download AVAST! or AVG and do a full system scan - this repeatedly has resolved alot of people issue relying on MS Essentials.
Download Malwarebytes do a full system scan (AV doesn't pick up alot of malware) - this resolved almost ALL other similiar posts to date as most had Malware the AV didn't pick up.
Repeat the AV/Malware scans till the system comes up clean.

Download and run SPECCY, copy and paste the first tab to show your idle temps
Download and run MSI Afterburner, run some of the games that crash, what temps are you getting when underload?
Open Computer, Can Air dust out the bunnies and use paint brush on the vents, coolers, fans, etc.

My Idle Temps:

Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz 37 °C
Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 686MHz (10-11-10-30)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z87-PRO (SOCKET 1150) 28 °C
Graphics
S240HL (1920x1080@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (ASUStek Computer Inc) 27 °C
Storage
931GB ATA WDC WD1000DHTZ-0 SCSI Disk Device (SATA) 27 °C

Whilst playing games at max graphics, GPU reaches a max of 50 °C

I am now experiencing more problems having done everything you said, system will freeze up after being awoken from 'sleep mode', and games are crashing more frequently.

Still experiencing problems..

most recently being that Malwarebytes will not complete a scan without crashing - this happens with various files under C:\PROGRAMDATA
previous problems are still apparent also..

HELP

STOP. OIver a month ago I provided a list, all you stated was you "did everything" but you didn't provide any feedback except the first tab. Was there malware? What happened when you scanned with the antivurs, what were your temps in game? etc.

If this is all too much I would just rreturn it as it is still underwarranty.

I cleaned up my system with AVG and Malwarebytes until they were coming back clean; I can't remember what issues were found as it was so long ago! CPU temp doesn't get above 70 degrees in game, but these problems are happening outside of games too?

Also, I've built this system myself, so wouldn't know which bit to return! I've had the graphics card tested, and it came back with no problems even though I cannot complete Furmark tests myself on this system.

What is your PSU?
Run Memtest86 to check your RAM
Run HDTune to check the HDD
That you had many issues the Virus and Malware scan shown sounds like Windows may be fragged up and need a reinstall, but your indicating "on startup the screen sometimes remains blank, requiring a forced reset to fix and get signal through to my monitor" which is unclear, are you talking this happens at POWER On and no BIOS? Or you talking after you see the Windows Logo. If the first, then we are talking hardware issue, if second then we are talking just software (Windows, Drivers, etc.) most likely the issue.

Memtest used to show up with no problems, but I'll run it all again and get back to you along with the HDTune results.
It used to occur before BIOS, but this problem hasn't happened since the last post.
That's the worst thing about this, that everything is so inconsistent.. but yeah, I'll get back to you

That is your CPU.. your PSU is your POWER SUPPLY UNIT. What is it? It may be faulty / undervolt for your system and can cause inconsistent results. But as well a bad Malware (like a Root Kit that sits in MBR ) can cause all sorts of havok too.

Please follow ALL the steps again (we are working the issue today not a month ago and something may have come back on) and reply back the results of ALL the steps.

Shit yeah, it's been a long day.. haha.
I've got a corsair TX650 in there, are there any tests I can run for it?
The HDTune is currently running and is about 75% complete with no problems so far!

If during any of this CLEAN setup we have a issue then it most likely the PSU is failing.

thank you for all your help so far! - a clean sheet definitely sounds the best way of finding out what is wrong! Finals are approaching so may have to wait a couple of weeks as I can't afford to go without my rig for any length of time! But it WILL get sorted.
Thanks again for all your help, I'll get back to you asap!
