I have this card I got recently with no over clock it runs over 65c. It hit 75c playing planet side 2 with asus tweak on power saving and fans on 100%. I did reinstall gpu tweak and temps seemed to drop but it still runs hot at times. I have to take the door off the case and put a huge house fan blowing into the case and it still stays around 63-64c. Should I go ahead and contact Asus about a RMA? I did contact them and ask there opion and they never wrote back, that was 2 weeks ago. I checked temp with a heat gun, and HW monitor.

I'm not sure about the high temp limit of AMD cards, but Nvidia cards usually have ~97C as their thermal max. I would expect AMD cards to be the same, tho.

If idle temp is 65C, that is a bit high. But 75C isn't all that bad under stress. It may just need its thermal paste replaced. I had a pair of GTX 570 awhile back that one always was way to high no matter which slot I put it in. After removing the heat sync/fan, I noticed the thermal paste was very poorly applied... off to one side and very little. After cleaning the old stuff off and applying new MX-4, the card ran cooler than the other 570.
