I have a PC that currently is connected to the internet via a modem. I used to have a router to run my Lap top internet using Wi Fi but the router has given up the ghost. Can i buy a Wi Fi attachment for my computer that will allow me to have the internet on my Lap top from the PC. Thank you.

If you have more than one device (PC and laptop), you really need a router. You can maybe do it through ICS, but then the PC has to be on ALL the time. And is much more hassle.

A new router can be purchased, sometimes, for as little as $15 in the U.S. The price is comparable to a WiFi adapter for your computer. It is money well spent.

Thanks one and all, just confirmed what i had suspected. As for costs we are talking Australia where everything to do with computers is overpriced.
