Can upgrading from a 32 bit to 64 bit allow you to optimally use your graphics card and installed RAM?

Hi I'm looking forward to installing a graphics card on my desktop for gaming. It is a Dell Inspiron 530 with 4GB RAM installed but only 3.24 usable. It has a 1.8 Ghz processor, and it is a Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit. So, will I be able to optimally use both the RAM and the graphics card if I upgrade to 64 bit, or am I good the way I am?

I wouldnt' waste my time with a 6yr old PC (the 530 was back in 2008). You wont' get the performance hit you are trying for. Your real answer is to just get a new PC, which a generic off the shelf i3 WITH 64bit OS and over 8GB or RAM is only $249 at Walmart last I checked.

For gaming systems, you need to look at around $700+ normally. If that is too much then get a console, cheaper and less worries about use of RAM, etc.

There would be no point. The ram would still be at 3.24 usable and the performance wouldn't change at all switching to 64 bit.
