Hi I want to oc my CPU to 3.2-3.5 ghz. Is this a reasonable oc? Btw I'm a noob.

Specs:
Amd fx 8120
Gigabyte ga-880gm-usb3
16gb g.skill
120gb ssd
RAID 10 2tb set up (4 500gb hdd)
Amd radeon hd 6750
650w corsair tx psu
DVD drive
4 fans
Corsair hydro h100i or skythe shuriken, whichever is better

Solution
wait, you have this built, and it works? well, if the model of mobo you posted is correct, then you shouldnt even have an fx cpu in it. if you havent bought it yet, then get a different mobo, and i would recomend an fx 8300 or 8320, much better than 8120 and same price.

do not use a fx 9xxx in that mobo. you arent even supposed to be using any fx in there. the 220watt fx 9xxx will fry your mobo if it even boots. but if your fx 8120 works right now, it should be ok, but on the manufactures website it says that with the latest bios update, you can use the fx 4130, but thats the only fx it lists.

The reason I went AMD with this build (I'm doing a haswell i5 build in about 6 mos) is because I was able to get like 6x more bang for my buck, plus everything i got was on sale. For the $300 I spent on the mobo, RAM, and cpu I cuold have gotten an i3, 8gb and a cheapo mobo. I got the RAM on an auction on ebay new...
