Best bet would be to measure the stand offs to see if they are the correct distance apart.

It doesn't come with specs it's just got hp and compaq on the front I've checked everwhere on it can't find any specs! This is for a project at school since I'm at a technical school in electronics they gave us this computer and said take all the components out and put them in a new case! It's what shad been considered the computer project!

Is it running Windows? If it is, run "devmgmt.msc". Post the processor, the hard drive, and the graphics card. We'll take it from there.

Its the motherboard you have to worry about. If its a proprietary model then you would need to drill some different standoff holes. Though I think only dell models have proprietary mobos. Just measure the standoffs and you will know. Also I'm almost positive that the dell proprietary thing died out years ago. Thoguh I have no idea of the age of said computer.
