Hello everyone, I'm in a bit of trouble here. My uncle got a laptop off of someone and he's asking me to fix it. The mode of the laptop is an HP Mini 5101. The problem is that when it boots and windows files load it goes to the start-up repair. The startup repair then says windows cannot repair this computer automatically. Now here's the twist if I try to go to advanced options it wont let me because there is a password on the user account so it wont let me go through. :??:

Any help is appreciated.

Your uncle should ask the original owner for the password. Please read the rules; any requests for help getting around passwords are against the forum rules.

If the chain of provenance of the latptop is clear (ie, the person your uncle got it from actually owned it) and your uncle doesn't need what the original owner had on it, a factory reset might be in order if it came with the disc.
