which are thebest response timing to look into buying monitors.. 3ms.5ms or 7ms gtg..i really confused..thanks in advance! Main usage is for gaming with new gen Games and Media..
the one you have now is 5ms response so if you dont notice any input lag...like sluggish feeling control....from your monitor then you probably wouldnt notice it in that ips as the are only 2ms off but if you want to be safe the one with 3ms is good to and if you want to go with that you will not be disappointed as you have already been using similar panel, but you wont see any improvement in picture quality either just the size.. is there a store where you can try to move a mouse ond type on a computer on a ips panel to see if you notice a difference?
Actually, response time (and how to measure it and distill it down to one number) is so poorly defined, that spec should be mostly ignored when choosing a monitor.
asus have some 1 ms response 1080p that arent to expensive and the response time refers to input lag(makes mouse and key strokes feel slow) and is really noticeable in fps and racing games, however i have been told that some people dont even notice the difference under 5 ms...ips panels are beautiful but more expensive than tn panels
i saw few good looking 27inch Viewsonic..the cheapest is with 3ms GTG while the 7ms GTG is more expensive but its newer model and quite handsome! thats when all these confusion start..
if it is for gaming the ips panels have unrivaled picture and only slightly higher input lag which the listed rating is not entirely accurate. i would say if this is your first gaming monitor upgrade to a new panel for gaming as you have been probably playing on a lower resolution tn/crt monitor. the graphical display on a ips monitor and simpy beautiful. so i would def suggest going with this one http://www.lelong.com.my/viewsonic-monitor-led-27-vx2770smh-led-black-castleit-K1370519-2007-01-Sale-I.htm
as far as the things you listed are just different connectivity ports i believe. i am not to familiar with them but they are for connecting smartphones/tablets to your monitor to stream video and charge your phone...you can do the same thing with your pc so i dont see the advantages to even having these.
