I want to use the r7 265 GPU instead of the 7850 but its not an available choice on the site yet. The memory also doesn't matter, I just want 2x4gb 1866 cheap.My plan is to OC the fx 6300 to 4.4Ghz. Is this possible with this setup? FYI i will be using this for gaming and will use my 60" plasma as the monitor. I have a budget of less than $600, so any suggestions to cut costs would be helpful.

everything from amazon? I only see 2 items on the list from amazon. What would you suggest for PSU? Is that true about the RAM? I heard the same about the r7 265 but with this price hike on all GPUs, who knows.

Here I changed a few things around. Better psu. Much better motherboard. Bigger case. About the same price as you had. No video card since the r7 265 isn't there yet.

I apologize, I guess I was not clear enough in my description. I want to use a mini atx case only. Basically I'm trying to build something that will be able to play the upcoming games for the ps4 (pc ports). I haven't had a stationary computer (been using Lenovo thinkpads) in ages since I always had ps1, ps2 and lastly ps3. This computer will replace my need to purchase a ps4 I'm hoping.

I looked at your PSU suggestion and I am wondering if it is powerful (500w) enough to run the CPU oc at 4.4Ghz.

I checked out that ram you suggested and I definitely like the price.

Well here's the catch with wanting to use a FX6300 in a microATX case, there are no good microATX AM3+ motherboards available. You won't be overclocking that FX6300 at all. I recommend switching to fm2+ or just going to Intel.

I'm confused because the MOBO does have a 140W max, should be enough power, on it and I want to cite a source that used this MOBO for oc with the 6300. http://pcpartpicker.com/b/GUq So my question for you is, are you disagreeing with the case size or MOBO or both? What is your reasoning behind your argument, please elaborate. Also, could you please answer the PSU question I asked previously. Thanks

Yes 500w is enough for an overclocked FX6300 and a R7 265 if it's a good solid 80+ psu.

Officially you CAN overclock on that motherboard, but it is NOT a good motherboard to overclock on. The voltage regulator module does not have a heatsink, and has only 4+1 power phase. It's a bottom of the line budget 780 series motherboard. The motherboard and power supply are the LAST two components that you want to skimp out on. A 970 series is recommended for decent overclocks and a 990FX series is recommended for extreme overclocks. Problem is, you can't find a 970 or 990FX series mobo in the microATX form factor. The AM3+ socket is the only socket that I can't recommend in the microATX form factor. Otherwise, I'm a big fan of microATX builds. Other people on here criticize them immediately, but the truth is that are 99.99999% as good as the full ATX in every other socket, but AM3+.

So to sum up, I would not dare touch the voltage on any 780 series motherboard so overclocking will be severely limited without bumping the voltage.

What about 4.2ghz on the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB instead of Asus M5A78l-M/U3?

On a sidenote: CAS 7 or CAS 9 for 1600 ram, keep in mind I'm using it for gaming.

Sorry I cannot quote estimated OCs because there are too many variables.

The lower the CAS on RAM, the better, but don't pay a lot extra for 9 over 7.
