I've been looking around and trying to piece together a decent build for a gaming computer with some "future proofing" as well. This is my first time building a computer and I am still trying to figure this stuff out. From what I have gathered so far this is what I have..

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz Quad Core
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing
Mobo: Asus Z87-A ATX LGA1150
Mem: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
Storage: Seagate Barracude 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Vid Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 4GB
Case: Corsair 500R Blk Mid Tower
Power Supply: XFX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB / BEBE DVD / CD Writer
Operating System: Micro Win 7 Pro SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)

That's what all I am going to get but I have already bought a monitor, the Asus VX238H 23.0" because it was on sale. I was also looking at getting the Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" SSD down the line. Everyone says that it makes everything run faster.

Is this all pretty good for what I'm looking to do? Any advice or tips you all can give me I would greatly appreciate it, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this stuff before I jump in, thank you!

look, I aren't going to question that build as it is a very good one and I have no recommendations to make that would be beneficial.

And defiantly get a SSD down the road, and defiantly the one you listed as that is a great one. Expect 12 second boots, really short application loading times and all, much better and much much faster then any HDD alive but does come with a cost but in my opinion, well worth it.
