G.Skill Sniper DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC RAM

ZOTAC NVIDIA GTX 660 Synergy Edition 2 GB DDR5

Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P Motherboard

this is my specs i want to keep low price psu so is it good

Cooler Master Thunder 500W 500 Watts PSU

can is easily support OC ram, cpu, gpu

More about : psu choose

Yes, 500W will be sufficient for your system.

Cooler Master PSU is good. It has two +12v rails with 24 Amps one one rail and 21Amps on other rail with total output of 408W. Though this PSU does not have 80+ certification. It has 86% efficiency which is good as well.

can it handle sli of that graphics card
and OC sli

cooler master thunder is rated to push 408w on dual 12v rails
408/12v= 34a th variance takes it down to 33.5a which is clos and i think this is the same build as the extreme which is a tier 4 and i would not get this
you should not oc on this psu
your system draw is 28a overclock increase your amperage and since this isnt well known i would say the variance is large and you will get voltage spikes that may damage your components being as it is only about 60w from what it can handle on max load

I wouldn't consider that PSU quality. Spend a little more and get something decent.

If you want to SLI, you're looking at about a 700W PSU. I'd suggest this

so 600 psu would be enough for sli and oc both and ram cpu
and should i choose Cooler Master Thunder 600 Watts PSU

Avoid CM PSUs - I can't find any reviews of the Thunder, and that's a bad sign.

~500W+ for one GPU, ~700W for two.

For SLI consider buying minimum 650W PSU.

If it's a good 500W, but I'd get the 550W Antec I linked above. I wouldn't consider the CM Thunder good.

What is your budget range pl:

http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-vs550-550-watt-psu/p/it...

http://www.flipkart.com/seasonic-eco-500-watts-psu/p/it...

And for those who are saying not to buy Cooler Master. I'm using Cooler Master PSUs since 4 years and never have any issue with them.

problem with corsair is that it has low connectivity for graphics and other fan because of it's 4 sata cables

and seasonic is good but it is same as compared to cm psu as i wanted to buy in link above that thunder master 500W one.

does CrossFire Certification can it support crossfire and sli

Generally the number of SATA connectors isn't a major issue - fans run of 4-pin connectors or your motherboard, and GPUs off PCIe connectors. There shouldn't be anything on SATA other than HDDs, SSDs, and ODDs.

ATX: Your motherboard.
EPS/ATX12V: Your CPU.
PCIe: Either 6 or 8 pins, your GPU(s).
SATA: Hard drives and optical drives.
Molex/four-pin peripheral: Some fans, and adapters for if you don't have enough 4-pins or PCIe.

Stores are generally fairly bad at reporting how many of each connector it has.

The seasonic probably has a pair of 6-pin cables, or a 6 pin and a 6+2 pin.

Yes, it is so.

But definitely cooler master is not the only brand out there. If you've better option go for it, otherwise there is nothing wrong with cooler master series PSUs at-least from my personal experience which may differ from others

If you want to SLI, you need a larger (~700W) PSU. I said that further up, and recommended this.

The Antec VP-550 would be OK for one GTX660, but not two.

Dear,

For SLI I will recommend Corsair HX 650W. It has 54Amps on its +12v rail and efficiency of 92% plus it is tier 2 product which means it is very much reliable. Yes it is expensive but rightly so
m

it is expensive but i told above about my budget it is low soooooooo tell me about Corsair VS650 PSU

March 5, 2014 6:55:15 AM

I'd avoid the VS ones - possible bad caps, so early failure.

HX are expensive, and there's no real need for a Gold one.

The 660 has a TDP of 140W, and only needs one 6-pin power connector. As such, a pair of them and an FX6300 should just fit on a 650W PSU. I'd suggest the Antec VP-650.

However, I wouldn't overclock much.

Thermal Design Power. Basically the maximum power the card itself can consume.

The thermal design power (TDP), sometimes called thermal design point, refers to the maximum amount of heat generated by the component.

Yes, it can. For PSU don't apply the budget limitation because buying PSU is not a cost but an investment :)

If you're only running one GPU, the VP-550 is fine and is good for overclocking. If you want to buy a second one in future, you'll want the VP-650, but can still overclock.
