i have AMD A8-5550M APU clocked at 2.1 ghz
with 4 gb DDR3 ram
and 2 gb dedicated ATI Radeon HD 8550g with 512 mb integrated gpu
still i cant run NFS Rivals smoothly..it is having serious lags and is not working smoothly even at low settings..so i m thinking maybe my laptop is not using the full powert of its gpu as i can run BF3 smoothly

More about : gpu full potential

The 8550g is a pretty low end card and it should Not run most games even in the lowest of details. If you can a dedicated (becuase the one you has is onboard) it would help a lot with you frame issues.
