I'm a qualified technician, and have recently been asked to look at an Asopire 6935G which does not charge or power on. I replaced the motherboard with an identical model, but after the replacement the machine still does not charge or power on.
I'm utterly perplexed as to what the problem may be. Have tried 5 different mains adapters, including two universal ones and three Acer official ones. Any suggestions at this point? :p

Can you link me to a service manual outlining the location of the power supply? I assumed it was part of the motherboard.
Do you mean the mains adapter or an internal component?

oh, this is a laptop, my bad (though this was a desktop PC). It has a battery. the battery may be faulty.

Since this is a laptop, you can try this;

Take the battery out and hook up the charger, try to power up that way and see if that works, if it does, it's the battery that' the issue.

If the battery was faulty then the machine would still power-on with the mains adapter with the battery removed. It does not.
The replacement motherboard is brand new
