Hi , New here but have done a bunch of research here. Looking forward to contributing.
I have built a few partial systems over the years but mostly dabbling with upgrades and nothing from scratch.

I have an old a7v8x-x board amd 2500 , 2 gb, with an agp card. I also have a Pentium D945gtp board, dual core P4, 4 gb and zoltac geforce gt430 card that I currently run videostudio x5 on.

The d945gtp is not online and used mostly for video editing ( youtube) .
The a7v8x-x is mostly for web browsing , e-mail etc. watching a video before posting is very painful.

Should I upgrade the a7v8x-x or the d945gtp? Thinking the a7v8x-x as the other one can at least play the video.

I was looking at going to the i5-4570, 8 gb patriot ram, asus intel b85 plus or the msi z87 -g41, and the msi geforce gt 610.

Are these going to work together, I'm unfamiliar with OC but have read a little here so any insight would be great.

Thanks,

Jim

Sorry ... I can only help you with Photo-Paint :)

I suspect you'll find a good many answers to such questions in the Corel VideoStudio forums. I believe they've been using GPU acceleration since version X3 or so.

And, Tom's did a report on OpenCL via GPU a year or 2 ago. Corel had several applications but I can't recall if VideoStudio was one of them.

Forgot to add, I am running XP and have a 400w SPI ps. Any limitations with these?
