Can I mix two brands of ram?

i have 16gb of ram memory (http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/16GB-Corsair-Vengeance-Black-DDR3-1600-DIMM-CL9-Dual-Kit_802784.html )running in dual channel, but i want another 16gb ( http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/16GB-Crucial-Ballistix-Tactical-DDR3-1600-DIMM-CL8-Dual-Kit_798857.html ) on the other 2 channels, will that lead to compatibillity issues? i dont want to spend too much more....

You can, but the risk of compatibility problems is increased.

You should not...I don't even think that they will work better than each one of them alone

You could try, but even two sets of the same exact model can be problematic, I'd suggest selling the old and picking up a new set of the full 32GB you want, or use the old in another rig
