Hey
I have been having a little problem with the PC lately
It automatically shuts off and i have to power off the mains and then power it back on
sometimes it just doesn't power on again
Its been happening since a little time, i had first encountered this problem, i had cleaned the PSU and it started working fine, over the time i realized that as i attach a hard disk to my PC it starts having this issue , i unplug them and it starts again

i did a little searching and found there to be 3 things involved
1- Faulty PSU
2- Faulty cable for the power
3- Faulty GPU

i changed the cable and unhooked the GPU

-I have attached a Shot of the CPUz Id
-also have a 450 w power supply
-I dont play games on the PC

Please suggest

Thank you

time to replace the PSU, from what you said it sounds like the caps are going out in the unit.

I had this same exact problem as well, it might also be your motherboard. I had an asus m4a785-m/csm and my computer would shut down, and it would not turn on again - id have to wait 10 minutes or so before it booted up. I replaced my power supply, and the problem was still persisting. Changed CPU's, ran it with different GPU's, and nope, nothing worked. It was safe to say it was my motherboard, so i threw it out and upgraded to a intel, in which i have no problems now.

In case of the mother board, i just exchanged the entire mother board and the ram sticks as the mother board had burned out, in a way that it wasnt working, and the mother board was fortunately under warranty, couple of months left, so got a new one, i am talking about not more than a year (max) old. You still think it could be the MoBo.
AMD, how much ever they say, the chipsets wont last as long as the intel ones. AMD still overheats (for this x2) which was the reason my MoBo had died some time back
