Hello i got this problem with my pc-->av receiver-->tv connection. Tv resolution is 1024x768, and when i connect pc to it via av receiver in ati catalyst i have 2 options for changing resolution. Those options are "basic" and "hdtv" .In basic resolutions are listed as 800x600,1024x768,1920x1080..etc and in "hdtv" resolutions are listed as 720p,1000i,1080p ..etc
Problem is that whatever i chose from hdtv list doest not match my tv and it looks horrible. The only options is to chose 1024x768 from basic list but if i do that then i get no sound on av receiver.
I did a little research over the internet and it seems that 1024x768 is listed as dvi resolution and pc will not output sound. Im wondering is there any way to force sound at that resolution or i just need to buy a new tv? Thanks in advance, best regards!
