Hi,
I am thinking about buying a R7 260x next month. My monitor resolution is 1366*768.But after seeing the announcement of R7 265, i am a bit confused of deciding the suitable one.In case of gaming, i mostly play battlefield 3 online. Here, my main upgrade purpose is battlefield 4.
My concern is that do i really need r7 265 for my resolution, or i am ok with 260x? I am OK if i can play bf4 online smoothly at normal to high setting with decent fps. I am on a budget.....so,does it really worth to buy a 265...or i am ok with 260x. My processor is i3 3220.Currently using old HD 5450 gpu. I am from Bangladesh. Here 260x is little cheaper for me than 265.

Thank you in advance. :)

at that resolution, you'd be fine with a r7 260x, if you are willing to turn down settings to achieve a higher fps.

You also have mantle on your side, which will increase performance making the 260x perfect for you

The r7 260x is perfect for your resolution and I think you will be able to play most games on very high/ultra, if you want a little bit more performance and future proofing get the 265.

Both cards have Mantle so both would get a boost from it.

Of course that is completely dependent on the CPU. If Elhamur has a good fast chip to start with, Mantle will do nothing.

(pure speculation follows) Of course that may change when DirectX 12 arrives, which I'm completely convinced will include direct support for Mantle.
