Mysterious auto-overclocking? What is this?

Hi. My MB is a Maximus VI Hero, with a i7 4770K CPU.

Once upon a time (4 days ago) i clicked on the "4-way optimisation button" that seemed so appealing to me. It then proceeded to overclock my CPU to "14%".

At first i thaught, "ok, no problem" and tuned it back down, but every time i star my computer AI Suite 3 has overclocked it back to 14%. Every time.

This wouldn't have been a problem if i actually had an aftermarket cooler and some decent case fans, but sadly, that's not the case.

I didn't find anything when i googled this problem. Has anyone ever experienced this? Why is this happening and how can i fix it?

I know this is a bit long, and i really appreciate your (soon to come?) help in advance. Thanks!

Solution
Simple steps that can be done are;
Uninstall AI Suite III and run this cleaner:

Then go to bios and Load Default Settings.
You will be all done there and re-install AI Suite III if you want.
