Hello, I am currently running Windows 8, and it's not bad In my opinion. I was planning on upgrading over the summer. If I uninstall Windows 8 on the computer I am running, can I run it on my new computer with the same serial code?

Also, I upgraded from Vista to 8 so I bought the 64bit Windows 8 OEM disc. I plan on having my new computer be 16gb of ram, (8gb x 2) to my understanding should work fine. But, if I decide to upgrade to 32gb of ram (8gb x 4) Do I need to do anything to windows (Change drivers, buy another copy for some reason or etc,) or will I be fine as long as I have a 64bit operating system.

If any are interested in the system I am planning to build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/34Fjw
would you recommend these parts, if so why, and if not why?

ALSO, does the case I selected come with the screws needed for the motherboard and drives? please tell me and how you would tell or if they come standard with the motherboard screws/standoffs and harddrive mounting screws.
Thank you!

Yes you can.
With Windows 8, the 'difference' between Retail and OEM is who you can get 'support' from.
Retail = you can call MS for support with the OS.
OEM = you can call whoever installed it. You get to call you.
Hi,

1- "Can I run it on my new computer with the same serial code?"
If it's OEM: no you cannot
2-" if I decide to upgrade to 32gb of ram (8gb x 4) Do I need to do anything to windows", no, just be sure your mobo supports 32 gb ram and that they are all same specs (speed, voltage and timing)
3- " does the case I selected come with the screws needed for the motherboard and drives?" yes it does come with motherboard and drives

Thank you dexter, I want to know how to tell if a case comes with the needed standoffs and screws for the motherboard, and all components such as the PSU and DvD drives should come with their own, correct?

Windows 8 licensing:

The dividing line for what you can do with it is no longer OEM vs Non-OEM, but rather how you obtained the license.

If you bought it and you installed it, you can reinstall on different hardware all you want. New motherboard, whole new PC, whatever.
Only one at a time.

If it was preinstalled, then yes...it is tied to that original hardware.

Again...if you bought it and you installed it, you can put it on completely different hardware if you want.
Only one at a time.

Go here and read the specific license agreement:

I bought the CD on Amazon Windows 8 64bit OEM and installed it, while removing vista from my computer. So, I can use it on a new computer.
