Hello I'm quite unsure which video card to get for my new build, didn't buy any of those bellow yet though.

Sapphire TOXIC R9 280x or Sapphire HD 7970 Vapor-X 3gb

ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
Amd Vishera Fx- 8350 Box
Cooler Kraken X60
Atx 1000w Ocz Zx Series 80 Plus Gold Sli (Is it overkill? Maybe 850w?)
2x hdd ssd 256 Gb Samsung 840 Pro (Want to go for RAID 0. Is it too big for a system drive?)
1 hdd 1tb seagate (I got this one already, forgot the model)
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16gb 1866
Nzxt Full Tower Phantom Series

I'm expecting to acquire Sound Blaster later, crossfire another card of the same brand if it proves not to be a waste of money and maybe go for a custom liquid cooler, so that's why I'm going for 1000w so that I have some room for upgrading and I'm not quite sure about overclocking, it's a possibility.

The point I've read somethings about R9 280x model, mainly the toxic one and it had a lot of issues about overheating the memories, flickering and such but none untill now about the 7970 series, here they about the same price and it's be known that R9 280x as a rebrand but it still has a higher clock and faster memory, but is it worth risking? If I get any of them, will I be able to crossfire without LC, since they get really hot, won't it bring up a lot of issues about overheating sitting close to each other?

If any of these models is not adequate could you guys recommend something that will stand for the next 2 years at least? And it's a gaming rig which I'll be using for 3d modeling, photoshop and such.

I would recommend the 280x as it is clocked higher and the toxic cooler is better than the Vapor-X. You should not have any problems with heat as the toxic cooler is very good, as long as you have ample case air flow.
