Solution
A regular desktop GPU like the 660 would be sufficient for your budget you're looking at.

Definitely go the 8350 route, as it will be cheaper and the 8 cores will be good. The 8350 has amazing multi-thread performance. It also overclocks very well, so get you something like the Noctua D14 or U14S CPU cooler, and you can get even more performance out of your CPU.

Stay with 16GB of RAM, and try to get either CAS 9 at 1866, or CAS 10 at 2166.

For the power supply, a good 500-650w PSU from XFX, Antec, Corsair or SeaSonic will be perfect.

If you can squeeze it in, a 120-128GB SSD would also be very beneficial as well.

The GTX 780 will help you with 3d rendering because it has a bit of "DNA" of the Quadro series of Nvidia.
