Upgrading existing build, Looking for a newer GPU

This past weekend I built my first PC. After Looking online I wondered if I got a underpowered GPU. So I am wondering if I should return the GTX 650ti and get something newer? I seen a GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 for $180.00, But is it worth it? If not what does anyone recommend, I prefer Nvidia but I am open to an AMD card. But is there anything out there right now pushing for a better card? or am I better off waiting til something way better comes along, Within let's say in 6months.

750Ti is a nice little card, but if you are looking for more performance, I would look at the GTX 760. If you can wait 6 Months, Nvidia should be releasing their 800 line which could prove to be a pretty bid leap in the performance arena.

As Slushy said, the GTX 760 is a great card if you can afford the $250. One of the better price/performance cards out right now. I'm currently running one and can play pretty much everything at max 1080 using a i5 2500k. The 750Ti is still a good card if that's more the price you're looking for.

Thank you for the answers guys, I was told my card I picked was just trash. That is why I was asking for more thoughts on the matter. Right now I just wanted something that can run most on High/Ultra, Which the card can do. I just didn't want to spend more then I had to til at least something that was an amazing card at good price point. But if you said the 800 series is soon coming, I will just wait til then. But thank you.

I believe you may want to go with the 760, specifically a factory overclocked one with a 3rd party cooler. There is little information out there regarding the new 800's, so there is no telling what their price structure might be per the performance you might get. The GTX 760 has proved itself time and time again that it is one of, if not THE, price/performance leader right now. I personally ran two of these cards in SLI for a few months, and I have to say I was blown away. Two of these cards CRUSH the GTX Titan, and that is saying a lot. Here are some numbers I was able to cook up by overclocking my two EVGA 760 SC ACX's as a reference to the kind of performance these cards can dole out:

An overclocked Titan on average would reach about a 12000 Performance score on 3DMark11 and about a 4900 Extreme or X-score.

With all this said, I am confident you would be more than happy purchasing a 760 TODAY!

PS: The card you picked (750Ti) is FAR from trash. Most of the people that state this are simply comparing paper stats rather than in game experience. Wow I must say that is one hell of a card. But the trash card was my 650ti, Or so I was told. I think that is what I am going to get the GTX 750. Also is 8GB or RAM enough or am I going to have to bump that to 16GB. Sorry for being a pain.

That PSU will run a 760 fine as long as you're not going SLI. It has 49A on the 12v rail which is plenty. 8gigs of RAM shouldn't give you any issues as long as the clock speeds are decent (1600 is a good start).
