Does my CPU bottleneck my GPU?

I just purchased an MSI 280x Gaming Edition and put it in my already existing pc. I started playing Battlefield Bad Company 2, which shouldn't be a problem for such a videocard. But the game didn't go above 45 fps, and now i wonder if my cpu could bottleneck for my gpu? My system specs are:
AMD A6-3670K
Radeon R9 280X MSI Gaming Edition
8 GB 1600 MHz RAM
Would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help me out. Don't know if card may be broken. Other games also don't run really well

your APU bottlenecks you a ton. i would strongly suggest you get either an am3+ system or intel.

ok, i thought this would be the cause, but I didn't know for sure. This system however is only temporarily, in a few weeks I get the rest of the components for my new system with an AM3+ socket, so I don't need to worry. Thanks for your help man
