You do start to run into that problem. Personally, I would go with a 24" 1080p monitor.

I personally use an AOC i2757fh. It is an IPS monitor with relatively good stats. I have been incredibly happy with it after 4 months of use. It does lack adjustability that more premium monitors have, but I have not found myself in a situation where I needed the screen tilted, raised, or turned in anyway. I play BF4, FarCry 3, Metro Last Light, and many other games without a hitch! It's native resolution is 1080P.

Hope this helps!

the reviews for the LG are pretty good, the 5ms response time is the only thing keeping me from giving it the only nod.

i see, btw is it true that 27' in 1080p looks bad up close, like when your using it normal desktop distance? because its so big you can see the pixels, and it dosent look good , or so ive heard?
