how many frames in minecraft should i be able to get while recording with obs with my new build?

Processor(AMD FX-8350 CPU (8x 4.00GHz/8MB L3 Cache))

iBUYPOWER PowerDrive(PowerDrive Level 1 - Up to 10% Overclocking)

Processor Cooling(Liquid CPU Cooling System [AMD] - ARC Dual Silent High Performance Fan Upgrade (Push-Pull Airflow))

Memory(16 GB [8 GB x2] DDR3-1600 Memory Module - Corsair or Major Brand)

Video Card(AMD Radeon R7 250 - 2GB)

Motherboard(ASUS M5A97 R2.0 -- AMD 970)

Power Supply(500 Watt - OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W - 80 PLUS, Modular)

Primary Hard Drive(500 GB HARD DRIVE -- 16M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s - Single Drive)
Data Hard Drive(1 TB HARD DRIVE -- 32M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s - Dual 1TB Drives (2TB Capacity) - RAID 0 High Performance)

Solution
in minecraft, you can max out the settings and get probly 100+ fps. but, i would not overclock with that psu. 500watts isnt enough for an amd cpu and gpu and overclocking.

ok thanks

This computer, heavily overclocked, will come no where close to 500w. It will barely use 200w at FULL load.

The GPU is VERY low end.

the very low end made me feel good lol not but i did a build with my specs on pc part picker and it estimarted about 350 watts

It will not pull 350w. It will barely pull 200 at FULL load. That GPU is bottom end and doesn't even need a PCI power cable which means it can't pull more than 50w. Typically an r7 250 pulls 42w under FULL load. Add that to the CPU MAX load of 150w (including a VERY large HEAVY overclock), and you don't even have 200w at 100% system load.

Are you trying to play anything besides minecraft on this computer?

ill except your word considering you have like 600 badges lol and are a moderator so thanks for that and i will see when i get it how bad my gpu is, i figured since it is newer it would be pretty decent, and how good do you think it is/how many fps in minecraft while recording with obs

This is SUPER inflated. His actual usage will be below 200w.

A DVD drives uses only a few watts, as does a HDD, and fans use 1w or less each.

400w would be plenty, but his 500w unit (although not the best quality), will allow him to get a better GPU.

ok thanks the fans that i beleive will fit in it are 6 counting cpu fans and when i selected parts it was either no fans or maximum fans and buy the way im not building it just wandering about parts and framerate it will handle

I would NOT get max fans. It WILL DEFINITELY sound like a leaf blower and they will not keep ANYTHING cooler than a single front intake fan will.

You want smooth airflow not air blowing like crazy. Paired up with the liquid cooler, this will be a LOUD computer. Those fans are a BIG waste.

It will play minecraft at 60fps but other demanding games will struggle at low settings at 1080p.

No, even then a front intake, top exhaust, and rear exhaust is all ANY computer needs to stay perfectly cool. People ALWAYS think they need more fans than they do. Truth is a computer with 3 fans like I just explained will stay at the exact same temps as one with 8 fans. It is about thermodynamics. Once you have air moving in and out, the speed at which it moves is negligible as air is a good heat dissipator. Also, sometimes more fans can actually cause a computer to heat up by blowing all over the place and not smoothly letting air out the case. They can actually trap hot air in the case. I would only use 3 fans in your computer at most. And, only the top exhaust and front intake will be of use if the radiator for the water cooler is on the back as an exhaust. Anything else will do nothing but make noise.

Also remember those prebuilt companies use VERY low quality cheap fans. They will make ALOT of noise.
