So my parents wireless router is connected to their modem by ethernet cable. On this modem their wireless connection is named "home". I have a wireless router in my room which is connected to their router by ethernet cable. Through this connection I have been able to piggyback off their internet while also creating my own internet connection called "kc's internet". For the longest time I have been unable to remember the wifi password so I could only use it for it's ethernet connections. I just recently found the password, but I'm looking for a way to remove it entirely. There is a button on the router that allows me to turn the password protection on and off (which i only discovered today) but I'm looking for a more permanent solution. I've gone to google and located my ip address to try to configure my router settings, but i am only able to access my parents routers settings. I know this because their's is a linksys and mine is netgear. If you understand my question, help would be appreciated, if not, I can try to re-state myself more clearly.

If you want to get rid of "everything", reset it back to factory specs. There should be a button on the back to do that. Look in the manual for exactly where it is.
