Updating mid-level build, bottleneck/laggard hardware?

Hello, I tried posting earlier, but I think that when I created my account it did not post the message. Apologies if this is a repost.

I built my 2nd PC in 2012, reused an old 19" Samsung 941BW monitor from 2006, and am now updating to an ASUS vs247hp and am likely to purchase a 2nd monitor for dual setup to placate my wife.
am likely to get a 2nd monitor, and am considering upgrading the graphics card in the near future to an EVGA GTX 760, or 770 if the price drops significantly $300. What other significant bottlenecks would be present, which would or might render the graphics upgrade moot?

CASE THERMALTAKE|VA8000BWS BLK RT

Graphics: EVGA|01G-P3-1561-AR GTX560 1G R

CPU INTEL|CORE I5 2500K 3.3G 6M R

SSD 120G|CORSAIR CSSD-F120GBGT-BK R (used for OS and 'favorite' games.

CD BURN SONY|CRX230EE/B2

CPU COOLER CM| RR-B10-212P-G1 RT

One concern I have with my current build is that a fairly high-pitched screech/whine/grating noise becomes exceptionally audible when the graphics card is under load (solely in game, and immediately upon starting I think). The annoying LED's in the case/fans make it easy to see that it isn't an 'obvious' wire dangling into a fan etc.

+1 to the above answers. Your 2500K is still a very good CPU, and you have an SSD for your OS already. The graphics card is the only thing worth upgrading at the time. For you I wouldn't recommend a 770, but would push the 760. Don't get me wrong, the 770 is the better card, but because price is an issue, and your previous card was 560, you will see a great improvement even with the 760, and you'll be very happy with it. Take the extra $50 and treat your wife to a nice dinner ;)
