pc on 4k tv questions

Hi in the next few months I'm thinking of getting one of the new Sony 4k TVs to run my pc on I just have a couple of questions before I do. First off when using the pc on a 4k tv will I have access to lower resolutions like 1920x1080 and 2560x1600?
also I'm thinking I will end up having trouble playing the latest games maxed out like crisis3,metro last light and arma 3 so I'm hoping I will be able to play all my older games like the original crisis and far cry 2, stalker , fallout 3 etc, all at the 4 k res, will that be possible? do all games on pc have the ability or do they not all support 4k?

yeah you can choose lower resolution like on a 1080p monitor you can goo to 720p also whats your hardware specs to make sure your pc can handle it and yeah most games should be able to play at that resolution i think even half life 2 can

cool thanks. half life 2! Im looking forward to seeing that in 4k! lol that will be a trip. as for my specs a 3930k clocked at 4.5 corsair dominator clocked at 2133 and 2 x gtx 780 ti's that I got in preparation for 4k fingers crossed that will be enough. thou from the look of 4k reviews they may struggle on the newest games. what do you think?

yeah i love half life 2 i still remember being 7 and playin halo 1 and half life 2 all the time haha oh and cant forget battlefield 1942 and the reason i asked for specs cuz i wanted to know if your gpus can handle it also ill trade you my gtx 760 for your 2 780s

factoruy overclocked from PNY pretty good eh? lol i throw in a stick of ddr 1 512mb ram too it failed in my last build and shorted out my laptop lol jk

Haha good one. on another note I remember I was 12 when half life 1 came out and that was a revolution still one of the best games ever made pretty sure it was the first of it kind as well. have you ever played it?

yeah ive played nearly every valve game my shitty single core netbook cant even run half life 1 low settings with no lag lol i was like fuckin 1 or 2 when half life 2 came out lol i remember growin up halo series was my favorite i got em all except for halo wars cough cough gaayyy
