Just built a new system (mb; Asus Z87 Pro with Intel i5 4670k, 16Gb Kingston Hyper X Black, 240Gb Corsair SSD and a Corsair RM750 psu) was running great, installed Windows 8, then installed the new graphics card. Upon startup the system boots successfully through BIOS but then crashes before reaching the log in screen. Can't even boot in safe mode, tried switching
PCI-e slots, still crashes. Is this a bad card, motherboard, or to small of a psu?

You have plenty of power, motherboards are universally compatible with PCIe. Therefore, it is most likely your graphics card.
