I have the RM850 and the Corsair individually sleeved cable set that matches the PSU connections minus the 24 pin connector (could not find stock anywhere CP-8920057). I did purchase the the 24 pin connector for the AX platinum series 860/760 (CP-8920073) hoping that I can swap out the connector (remove the connector from the stock cable and place it on the AX cable so it will fit) from the stock 24 pin cable that came with the RM850. I'm not sure if the difference is the shape of the connector or if the pinout is also different and if it is can i just do the same pinout as the RM850?. Can anyone tell me if this is possible please?

I wouldn't recommend it, but yes, it should be possible.

Thanks for the answer. Can I ask why you wouldn't recommend it?

It's modifying the psu. If it breaks the warranty. Also, I have no experience with wiring and would get the colors all confused. SO DON'T WIRE IT WRONG.
