Hi people.
I am soon going to build a video editing/Gaming rig..
One of the biggest problem I have is ram.
I decided on I7 4770k and Maximus vi formula/hero.

I read some articles which said
Max your FSB (processor speed) first.
Then work on bandwidth.
Then on reducing timing

I started from second step and chose to get 32GB 1866mhz ram, a sweet spot.
RAM here in India costs a lot. $350 ram = $500
Though, money is not much of a problem but it price to performance is.

I love Corsair Dominator platinum and g.skill ripjawsx or trident rams

Solution
I went with the Trident X, best price/performance I've found with Haswell (in sig), starting using them with Ivy bridge builds have the 32GB 2400 set in that rig (also in sig)

Hey Tradesman
I was using PC partpicker when it showed me, this
G.Skill Trident X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory operating voltage of 1.6V exceeds the Intel Haswell CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

Does that just means that I have to enable XMP to make it work or will I have to change voltages too?
